Ok…so I’m nothing the grammar errors and how it can be difficult to follow. However this so what I’ve gathered so far…
Characters: Myles is one of the boys that BJ(Big John) wants to be Pearls( BJ’s daughter) suitor. Im assuming he’s the abusive one.
Hank is the other suitor thar Pearl prefers. However Bj doesn’t approve of it. Due to his lifestyle and him leaving to be in the military.

This is to hopefully help me remember and understand who is who. So Big John(BJ) is the dad, Pearl is the daughter of big John. Who she refers to as “Deddy”. Then Slide is the Bruce and cousin of BJ and Pearl.
