I’m loving it so far
It’s a definitely YA but well written. It exudes underworld old world London with fantasy which I am here for
The story in the first book took me a little to follow on with but I quickly picked it up. The characters are great and I love the FMC and how she is developing throughout the story. I’ll let you know my thoughts when I finish the series but honestly thus far I recommend

I have read well written YA and have thoroughly enjoyed it.
I have also read terrible Adult fiction.
It sounds fantastic so far
I'm so lost on which book to pick up next. My TBR list overwhelms me haha

Do you like dark academia? My last read was Blood over Brighthaven and I devoured it, 5 stars for me.
It’s not a spicy story whatsoever, it’s quite different to most things I’ve read in the past and honestly I loved it. The magic system is pretty unique and interesting I haven’t read anything really like it and I loved the fmc and key characters alongside her. It’s quite dense/deep in parts but I absolutely loved the authors writing style
It’s a standalone and the ending is basically you could say the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good.
Would recommend, as well as the current series in reading too :)

I have not read a whole lot of Dark Academia, I could do with more exposure. Different is good. A standalone is preferable, I can't seem to commit to a series of any length at the moment!
