I think the plot for this book can be summarised by: things happening to characters while geo-political tensions rise. Some characters have narrow motivations, others don’t even have that. Others still, their motivations are shrouded in mystery.

But their personalities? Their struggles? Impeccably vivid. Its goddamn entertaining is what it is.

Despite there not being an explicit overarching plot, there IS so much momentum. I love it.

Great character work, they’re all insane.
