Very, very good story. The beginning was a bit better in my opinion. The ending seemed rather rushed. Review to come.

Dude, Louie is a BAD KID. He's SUCH a bad influence on the MC. BAD NEWS. I know he turns out ok, but I'm so nervous for him!

Ok. Let me get this straight. His mother doesn't want him to play football or wrestle, but is completely ok with him owning a gun and going hunting with two of his friends and they are sophomores in high school. I'm sorry, how does that compute?

Oof! The way this part is written, I'm feeling all of the nerves of the narrator! Had to put it down to take a couple of breaths to relax.

I am LOVING this so far! The pacing is good, his life is super interesting and I want to see how his life turns out! Reminds me of "Adios, Havana", another awesome memoir. I love reading the lives of ordinary people and their lives, that end up extraordinary for one reason or another. So interesting!
