Brynli Nixon I need a fun fact!

Grant The Battle of Fort Detroit was a tremendous disaster for the Americans, who despite outnumbering their British and Native American enemies 2,200 to 1,300 and holding an advantageous position in the fort itself, surrendered it without bloodshed because they thought the British force was much stronger than it actually was. The Native Americans (allied with the British) used intimidation, bluff, and deception to give the impression that they had multiple thousands of additional warriors, which so terrified the American General that he went into shell-shock and ordered the fort be given up to avoid a massacre.

Grant In reality, the Americans could have held their position in the fort quite easily having almost double the manpower, but psychology won the day!
