“As if brown snakes and red-back spiders aren’t a thing”. Is booth australian. I feel a lack of connection to an actual place in Australia as depicted in the book. The setting feels confused with a non-australian’s idea of what the outback is and uses vague endemic flora and fauna to depict this place.
