I wish Piper could tell her mum about how she's learning Auslan. She should be able to learn her own language without it being a secret from her mum.

I really do feel for Piper but it's annoying when she's constantly in a state of shock about how Marley is interested in her. "How does my deafness not put him off?" Girl, you know his mum is deaf. He grew up with it, obviously he doesn't care.

Also, Piper's mum is really annoying me. Stop making your daughter wear her hearing aids 24/7. They're harming her more than helping her.

Second book I have to read for my Adolescent Literature class at uni. All I really have to say is that visually, this book is gorgeous. I could flip through the pages and stare at them all day
