I have an admittedly hard time cutting through the clutter of this one to find the central argument. I feel it in there somewhere, crowded out by the frenetic prose, but it's very difficult to pin down based on the first chapter and the introduction. I'm hoping chapter 2 can concretize the argument a bit better.

The argument continues to escape my grasp. I just don't understand what Rabinowitz wants to prove--what she seems to want to say she never outright declares, and it's this muddiness of aim that makes its analysis less impactful.
