Chpt 5: yet author has an extensive critique on physicians' reluctance to prescribe stimulants for older adults with heart conditions. It's easy for author to criticize physicians when the author is NOT liable when patients suffer serious adverse effects from stimulants. I really liked this book until chpt 5.

Author makes a significant error confusing an ECG (tracing electrical activity of heart) vs echocardiogram (ultrasound of heart structures, blood flow）. The narrative slams physicians who are hesitant to prescribe stimulants to older adults. Chpt fails to mention potential risks of stimulants- psychosis, appetite suppression, arrhythmia, heart attack, stroke, sleep disturbance, addiction/ misuse, etc... Sigh…
