Hands down the worst villain in the history of fictional characters. I can’t even-

Its like we get the same scene in both Hugh and Liz's pov. It's so redundant. we keeo havijg the same conversations over and over my gosh

“You just need to know about this stuff, so you know when to tell a grown-up” (a conversation between literal 8 year olds). It’s so crazy that parents never want to have these honest, uncomfortable conversations with their children. Silence isn’t protection it’s disarmament. Also there’s a very special place in hell for Mark. Right in Satan’s lap.

I’ve read this scene twice now (the first in Gibsie’s book) and I know what comes next but I’m still sobbing. But underneath that, is anger. Why was Beth allowed in the ocean anyway???? Why was Gibsie if, according to Hugh, he “can’t swim properly yet????”

Something I don’t think is talked about enough is how close knit all their parents are. It’s so heartwarming to see them taking care of each others kids as their own. That’s the real found family.
