Seeing Denethor refer to Aragon (and Faramir) as wizards pupil made me realise the Merlin nature of Gandalf and how he found the once and future king and guided him to his rightful throne

It just clicked to me and it made me appreciate Gandalf a lot more not to mention geek out a bit cause I’ve long felt a profound lacking of Arthurian influence on LOTR which I knew was there and it simply eluded me

The entire fight of Sam and Gollum is like
