Lots of food for thought here. Helping me think through some of my questions occasioned by Allberry’s ‘One in Christ’ with some similar ways of talking, and a juicy quote from Luther that does use the marriage metaphor for the individual “soul” in Union with Christ — swapping all benefits/pollutions with the spouse.
