I’m just (barely) starting to like the characters in this book, and I don’t think you’re supposed to like them much more than this, besides Jackie and Lena, who seem believably warm.
I get the feeling that as the mood is inching towards less depressing, things are about to get dark. I’m excited to see what it looks like before then, and how that journey goes.
