The language is harder to navigate as French isn’t my first language and there is a hybridized language use of Spanish and French which Doesn’t make it easier. I started off the book having practically no knowledge of the Spanish civil war, but learning more about it had really helped me understand the book a lot better and has made it a much more interfering and easy read.
