About halfway through, woohoo!

My dad’s favorite character has entered the story: King David!

This week’s story was about how God made a way for his people to escape slavery in Egypt. It was very dramatic with fire coming from the sky and a whole army charging!

Today we read about how God’s people became slaves in Egypt, but how God rescued them

We’ve read 2 stories since my last update: the story of Abraham sacrificing Isaac (and being stopped by God) and the story of Leah and how she was unloved by the people in her life, but God loved her and blessed her

Today we read the story of Abraham’s baby who was named Isaac or “son of laughter.” I laughed along with Abraham and Sarah because I’m a son of laughter too

I learned about the Tower of Babel and showed mom and dad how I can babble too!

This week’s story was about Noah and the Arc. I had a lot of thoughts about this story and told my mom and dad all about it

This week I learned that the first lie ever told was when Satan convinced Adam and Eve that God didn’t love them. This broke God’s heart but he promised them that he would come back one day to rescue them

I’m looking forward to reading this book. We are hoping to read a chapter each Sunday since it is so long I could never read it all at once. Today I learned that the Bible is not a book of rules or a book about heroes, but a book of little stories that add up to one BIG story about how God loves all of us
