Is this the year of finally reading all the teen books I skipped as a teen? Apparently. But in this case, watching the movie (it was on Tubi) made the reason I avoided this one (not wanting to get invested when I know how this ultimately ends) even more valid, so is this a bad idea? Probably. But I’ve already preemptively searched out fixit fics, so there’s that.
