second part of answer 12 is super interesting. it discusses how the bourgeoise established political power for themselves to ensure their continued 'success.' at the time, only the wealthy could vote, and they voted for electors who elected the prime minister or whatever it was at the time. while we have a more direct system now, the wealthy can still influence elections through huge donations

I wonder how engels would consider doctors/medical professionals. like most work for hospitals, so they don't own their means of practice, while others own their own practice. BUT in some ways, a physician's knowledge could constitute their means of practice, which they obviously own and are in complete control of. On the other hand, corporations basically run the medical field more than medical professionals :-(
