Hmmm, maybe Shakespeare and Company in Paris, cause of the fond memories. I used to have a ritual of finding a new book there and eagerly walking over the Seine to Harry's New York Bar to read it over a cocktail.

Can't go wrong with B&N!
There is a second hand bookstore near me that also fosters cats for adoption, so it's got books and cats, basically heaven.

The Book Loft in Columbus, OH is fantastic! It's in an old house with rooms set by genre in a slightly maze like fashion. Always great to sit in the Sci Fi / Fantasy room and look through the titles as The Planets plays in the backgroung.

I went to Ohio Wesleyan for undergrad many years ago, so used to be there regularly, but it's been years since I've been back!

Heather wrote: "Twice Told Tales in Seattle and it's not at all because there are cats."I need to check that place out the next time I'm in Seattle! Elliott Bay Books is my usual Seattle go-to.
There's a store called 'Books are Awesome' that I go to every time I'm in Denver! And Red Stick Reads in Baton Rouge! Also a really great used bookstore is Houston Book Warehouse. Three guesses where that one is. OH and the Haunted Book Shop in Mobile, Alabama was really cool! And they had a cat so. Fabled Books in Waco, they had a Narnia door through a closet with coats and everything that led to their children's section. Everywhere I go I like to find a small local bookstore to go to. I've found some of the best places!
There's a store near I am called Bookrack. They buy and sell used books and I love going there and losing myself in the shelves. I've found quite a few interesting books I might not have picked up if I hadn't found them there! Plus they have a bookshop cat.

Charm City Books has a special place in my heart because they hosted a Shady Hollow murder mystery party last fall.
