My final Lofts novel, & saved for last in hopes it was the best...but I've spent 28 pgs wanting to punch the narrator in the face. So far it reminds me of those tepid un-spooky stories in Lofts' 'Hauntings' collection. Meh.

A couple people sense creepy badness in the attic...then leave & don't return. The narrator senses 'despair' & almost takes a drink of booze...then doesn't. Aaaand that's been it. Yawn. -___- The infamous historical section better be wicked fab, otherwise I'm stamping this a turkey.
