Done with the first part of the book, and I am so taken aback by the way the first story deals with grief. What if we make a deal with God, and the outcome of our situation is the exact opposite of the “terms” of our deal? What do we do when we’re confronted with the reality that God is sovereign, and He cannot be bound by us? What do we do when God’s answer to our prayer is a resounding NO?
