Reading the end with Amber Waves by Ethel Cain on repeat was like writing my own obituary.

I need a good 10 hours of sleep before I pick this up again

My inner monologue throughout this book is literally just "do not fornicate do not fornicate do not fornicate" it's insane

We are climbing to the crux of it. I'm uncomfortable—a normal reaction, I suppose. The family dynamics hit home but the budding feelings between Lochan and Maya are...tense to read through, which is funny because I just finished Fire and Blood, a book about a family dynasty BUILT on incest. I suppose the difference is that in f&b incest is given an excuse whereas in real life you're bound to feel disgusted by it.

I know this is the infamous "incest" book to many but I actually decided to give it a chance and it's...really damn good? Like all the family dynamics are so well set. I don't like that this is marketed as a romance though. This has too much nuance to simply be romance.
