I'm at the part where Krakauer shares some of the letters from outraged readers he received after he published his article. It's funny how I would agree with those people's criticisms in the context of climbing Everest, but here in the case of McCandless, I'm prepared to give him much more grace and empathy. I don't know, I just feel for the guy
