I happened to grab this book from the library on my Kindle before a trip. I had no idea of its length.
I am enjoying the delicious detailed and descriptive writing, I just hope it doesn't become too tedious. Faulkner, anyone? So far the story has kept my interest, though I read it loses steam. I will say I stayed up most of an entire night reading it this week as a result of insomnia due to jet lag.
