Jumping back in to the fray. I bounced off the last book pretty hard, I’m a little concerned that I’m going to end up in hate-read territory if I don’t enjoy this one more, at which point I’ll probably just drop the series. For now I’m still pretty interested in the overall plot and setting though, so I’m determined to at least give this an honest try.

So I’m about halfway through this, and while it’s not a book I’m loving it is at least a book I’m enjoying and that is both an improvement over the last book in the series and a thing where the deeper I get in to this series the more I suspect that that’s about the best I can hope for with Steve Erikson.
