Is it just me, or is everyone dead and it's not even close to the end of the series?

I think this is the only time I've actually liked Clary's behavior. What a shock.

It's far beyond stupidity and disgust on your part, Clary.

I hate such suspenseful moments in books. In movies it usually goes more smoothly, but with books it goes slower because it takes you a little longer to read, and you try to read fast to see how it goes, and you find yourself not understanding some of the sentences because you read them too fast. Ugh, this is not for me!
