It's Friday, my friends. Pull a chair up near the fire--it may be hot outside, but it's just the right temperature inside the library here for a cozy fire. The shelves are packed with amazing stories, the decanter is full of Scotch, and there are cookies aplenty waiting to be eaten.

Bring your favorite tome or pull one from the shelves and let's get lost together in some wondrous worlds.

Ooh, that's a good one, and already on the shelves--you don't even need to bring it!

Peter I'd gladly have a dram with you in this cozy library. What are you pouring?

You would be welcome any time, my friend! Right now, I'm pouring my current favorite: Glenglassaugh Sandend. Endlessly sippable!

Peter I've never had the pleasure of that species before. But I see it's also matured in manzanilla casks :) Since I can't transport myself to share a lovely dram with you, I'm curious to know if that cask has imparted gentle notes of brine and salt? Sean, your notes to our Goodreads community are always a bright spot in my day. Thank you.

Charlton Who could say no to cookies?

It's a pleasurable species indeed, my friend! It offers just the barest hint of brine and salt. It's quite light; I'm not much for smokey and peaty, so this suits my palate perfectly.

And may I say that your engagement and commentary are a bright spot in my day, sir!

No one, Charlton--that's who.
