It's Friday, my friends. Pull a chair up near the fire--it may be hot outside, but it's just the right temperature inside the library here for a cozy fire. The shelves are packed with amazing stories, the decanter is full of Scotch, and there are cookies aplenty waiting to be eaten.

I've never had the pleasure of that species before. But I see it's also matured in manzanilla casks :) Since I can't transport myself to share a lovely dram with you, I'm curious to know if that cask has imparted gentle notes of brine and salt? It offers just the barest hint of brine and salt. It's quite light; I'm not much for smokey and peaty, so this suits my palate perfectly.
And may I say that your engagement and commentary are a bright spot in my day, sir!
