NO WAY SADEAS ABANDONED DALANIR WHAT A TWIST. KALADIN AND THE BRIDGEMN ARE ARMORED AND FIGHTING I CANT WAIT

Seeing development in the princes is so great. Sadness and dalanir are now allies and I am excited to see their friendship grow again. Kaladin is beginning to prepare for war by experimenting with storm light, I hope he fights in the next bridge run but I do not know what that would entail. Now that we know that salamis visions are real and decode scripts written by the heralds, I am curious to see how that connects.

Things are getting exciting now. Now we see that “journey before destination” came from the way of kings - I swear the Bridgman had talked about it before during a chasm run so I can’t remember exactly but this has greater implications. Seeing Sades protected dalanir is so satisfying, and finally we get to see maybe surgebinder kaladin in action, I jsut wish I wouldn’t throw it away like the blade.

Now I’ve gotten past the interludes and shallans blunder. I’ll admit I’ve been growing tired of shallans story and I’m glad to get back to the shattered plains, however the twist around kasbal was a shock and hurt my souls seeing shallans get kicked while down. Now dalanir is about to prove or disprove his vision, and I’m excited to see what we learn about the heirocracy and kaladins abilities.

Reading about Aladdin giving away the shardblate was so frustrating, but I knew it was coming. I still hurt as much as I knew it would. The fight was amazingly dictated and it’s nice seeing the connection to the fight at the start of the book. I look forward to learning more backstory despite this only being 1 year ago.

This section I just read had some of the most growth compared from prior chapters. We got to see more about kaladins backstory about how tein got drafted to become a soldier and how shaman learned to souldcast. The writing was masterful for each part.

Kaladins chapters were so heart wrenching, seeing all the work liren dedicated to send him out trashed in an instant.
