I don't think I have ever read a book about crime that wasn't solved before. That being said, I think this was more of the fact that the police did a horrible job of investigating this crime than the murderer was a master criminal based on what I have read so far. I also must say this book is well written, at least what I read so far. I might be proven wrong; you never can tell.
