She wants to live as a man more than she wants him. Even if the Marquess was willing to give up his title (which is problematic to say the least) what kind of life would they have, being together in secret and likely having to move away to the Continent or to America? It’s not as if they can live openly as a supposedly gay couple!

I’m so confused. She knew she had to give away the Selby persona so what’s the issue now? I get she might not be fit to be a marchioness but is her problem that she doesn’t want to give up living as a man? If that’s the case, she doesn’t love him enough.

This book is so unexpected! What does his brother know?
