This is my sixth Clarice Lispector novel and I am once again reminded of her unimaginable prose. I simply cannot fathom how a person writes like that. She is otherworldly.

"The day had been the same as every other and maybe that was where the build-up of life had come from. She had awoken full of daylight, invaded. Still in bed, she had thought about sand, sea, drinking seawater at her dead aunt's house, about feeling, above all feeling." (!!!!!)
