Ok but the term functionally deaf is actually DISGUSTING. All deaf people are functional.

Also cochlear implants are not a cure to deafness. And it’s hard work. Someone who’s profoundly deaf will never hear like us even with cochlear implants soooooo this is so inaccurate.
