The Lord Ruler rolled up in his carriage, lounged in it for a few hours while people were getting executed, then left.

Props to Marcus in A Torch Against the Night. He FELT like a Roman emperor and had a presence whenever he appeared. I can’t fear rulers who are afraid to show their face and just seemingly mope around.

I’m very frustrated with Mistborn — like, there are maybe a hundred people getting executed, and the crew feels bad for one moment and then decides to move on with their OG plan without hesitation. Like, SHIT has been messed up, but no one seems to care.

Still wondering how this will go, though I don’t think it’s a result of the plot being twisty. A lot of the stuff with the nobles is quite vague. Elend himself doesn’t feel like a person, but I enjoy the vibes he and his enlightened group have.

Confirmed: We are not supposed to like Kelsier, and the thank Jesus, Joseph, and Mary for that. And someone has finally come to tell him off. That character is now my favorite.

I also have very little reason to hate the Final Empire as much as Kelsier seems to. There was one nobleman who was cartoonishly evil, and he died in the prologue. Sanderson should stop TELLING us the empire is bad and actually go beyond one guy living in the countryside.

Sure the nobility is corrupt, but that makes for good plot. Use it pls

I sure hope Sanderson did this on purpose, but I actually hate Kelsier. This man apparently has no sympathy for anyone who works for the nobility, and he does NOT stop to consider that they might be, IDK, forced into it?!

Surprisingly, I am not liking this ONE BIT so far
