I chose not to finish.

I'm stuck. The story is nowhere near as captivating as "Middlemarch" and as it's on my e-reader, it's easier to pick up another novel than to turn the screen on. I may not finish.
It wasn't the e-reader. It was the writing. It was written before Middlemarch, so I will forgive a "new novelist" a she develops her skill, but I'm off to something less dense.
