Book one spent so much time saying Caiden was "rough around the edges" and a "grizzly bear" etc and book two seems to say the same.. but if you look at his actual behavior and actions he gives pure golden retriever energy 😂 The discrepancy between the two descriptions really takes away from the story because it's so jarringly mismatched

I hate when books are like "I've been hiding my feelings since I was six years old" or something to that extent. Like, stahp. Six year old are worried about their juicebox being empty, what game to play next, and where their goldfish are. Not deciding they are going to marry someone and sticking to that thought for the next twenty years
