question for everyone,,,, how do you pick a book in a book store? i found a bookstore near me that had a lot of books/authors i like in my current genre (thriller/crime), but feel like mixing it up and feel lost on how to pick?

I normally look for ones on my want to read list but sometimes i ask the owner for recs or go purely based on vibes of the cover! Looking up / asking for recs based on books you’ve liked in the past is a tried and true method
