on pg 235, margaret was at a sermon, and told herself it was hard to trust God with the present + future, but easier to do when she gained faith after being saved. but she could only trust herself with the past. she didn’t want to see buddy, who had caused her much trauma. yet when they met at the family reunion, he told a story about saving a woman from drowning— it was her. never would’ve expected that twist.
