summer time always makes me think of my parent’s backyard and the picnic table my mom bought me where i read East of Eden for the first time. basking in the sun with my sweet puppy Sadie (rip queen i miss you every day) and savoring my taste of the Salinas Valley. i’m taking in this reread like it’s the last book i’ll ever read and i’m so happy i chose to pick this up again today :’)
