I haven’t seen the movies in years, so dare I say I think this plays out better in the movies than in the book? I do feel some of the emotional parts of the story feel rushed and underdeveloped. The love triangle feels to cliche and childish. I love that Collins didn’t write a super vindictive “happy” ending to war. That’s realistic.
