I am so glad I took the liberty to buy the next book yesterday! I think I am just going to take notes and then post them here instead of forcing myself away from the book to type things up... CROOKED KINGDOM, here I come!

Wait, I didn't like the way things ended with Kaz and Inej... Sad but realistic. Kudos to Leigh Bardugo! Did anyone else cry whilst reading that scene? The armour conversation on the ship??

Rollins held up his watch chain. A turnip was hanging from the fob where his diamond-studded timepiece should have been. 'That little bastard-' Then a thought came to him. He reached for his wallet. It was gone. So was his tie pin, the Kaelish coin pendant he wore for luck and the gold buckles on his shoes. Rollins wondered if he should check the fillings in his teeth.

I can image Rollin's face... Priceless!

'Just tell me one thing,' he said. There was anger in his voice, but she could hear something else, too, a kind of pleading. 'If you could go back, if you could undo what you did to me, would you?'
Nina made herself face them. She had her reasons, but did they matter? And who were they to judge her? 'No,' she said clearly, her voice echoing off the endless ice. 'I'd do it all over again.'

'What is at Berth twenty-two?'
'The real Ferolind.'
'The boat that blew was a decoy.'
'You knew?'
'No, I took precautions. It's what I do, Jesper.'
'You could have told us we-'
'That would defeat the purpose of a decoy. Get moving.'
Kaz and Inej are my favourite characters...

I love Leigh Bardugo's books. They are always so action-packed... I prefer this duology to the Grisha Trilogy though... Oh well! Left off on a cliffhanger so back to reading!

Oops! I just bought Crooked Kingdom... Page 14 of the first and I have already bought the second... I meant to do that...

I don't like Joost. Not at all.
