The idea of a writer having to figure out how to resurrect a character they had never intended to bring back is intriguing. The added tension that if he doesn't do it in a way that feels 'fair' his new Editor will murder him on the spot is what elevates it to brilliant.

One of the best twists I've ever read. made all the better by it not being a plot twist but a twist in the internal psychology of the book. Really brilliant stuff, tho the foot scene is one of the most gross things I've ever read.
