DNF. Started off great, loved the stuff about ghostwriting, and thought that was an interesting angle for a political thriller. Harris also made some fantastic points about society and warped priorities of politicians, the media, and the public. But unfortunately the story had one too many cliches for me to care enough to finish.

Some books just have a quality that make you want to read them at certain times of day, or at certain seasons. The Ghost has an eerie, edgy nighttime vibe to it for me (and not just because of its title), and I'm reading it with atmospheric 90s music in the background (Twin Peaks, Tori Amos, etc.).
