I tend run through books fairly quickly, four or five days for a 600-700 page book, usually. I've been reading this for two weeks. TWO WEEKS! It's not that I don't enjoy it, because I happen to be in love thank you, but I want to savor it. When i first started Malazan someone likened this series to good scotch, something to be enjoyed slowly and appreciated, I have to say I agree.

Thoroughly enjoying this. Erikson can write some shit! I'm starting to see the depth and complexity glimpsed in the first book and it's glorious.

i love it. i was originally upset because of no Whiskeyjack or Rake but this story is so engrossing and the characters are so amazing it's easy to forgive.
