So far it's a decent read, but I have some qualms about the consistency. Evike gets bit by a creature that's able to rend flesh from bone, yet it's never mentioned afterwards & from the same time Gaspar gets slashed by the creature & it's only mentioned a few times in passing after.Then Evike originally cuts the pinky on her left hand, only for later on it says that it's her right hand. It's all a bit annoying to me.
