After a steady transition, the story is well and truly into its phase 2. The second generation has assumed control and the tone has shifted from that of mystique to something more mechanical. The "magical realism" narrative is less magic and more real now. With more than 300 pages still remaining, will there be another shift towards magic? I don't see it happening, but I'll certainly enjoy reading more of it.

Intriguing and hypnotic. The sequence and nature of events feels so randomly put together, as if the author indulged in freestyle writing and got the very first draft published. However, once you start to get the hang of things (which I did past the first 40 pages) you start to understand and appreciate the orderliness of this blend of mystique and reality
