Chapter 32, such a good chapter! I loved learning more about Jo’s motivation for going to New York.

“It can never be the same again. I’ve lost my best friend.” Sighed Jo. “You’ve got me, anyhow. I’m not good for much, I know but I’ll stand by you, Jo, all the days of my life. Upon my word I will.” and Laurie meant what he said.


Finally finished part 1!! I love this book so much 😭🩷

“She has learned to think of other people more and of herself less, and has decided to try and mold her character as carefully as she molds her little clay figures. I am glad of this for though I should be very proud of a graceful statue made by her, I shall be infinitely prouder of a lovable daughter with a talent for making life beautiful to herself and others.”

“And she’ll go and fall in love, and there’s an end of peace and fun, and cozy times together.” Thinking abt how Jo doesn’t want childhood to end. She just wants things to stay the same as they’ve always been between her and her sisters and Laurie too.
