I just want to be finished with this. I almost always absolutely adore HR and I've never given one below 4 stars, but I think this one will be the one to break my streak.

I just can't bring myself to really get into this one and it's all because I just don't like the characters.

I'm just not feeling this one.

Awkward scene is awkward.

Assault tropes in HRs really bother me. Sometimes it can work to further develop the story and characters growth, but this felt like an attempt to vilify the other romantic interest to further Charlotte and Will's relationship faster.

I hate the trope of having another guy who is obviously the underdog and has no chemistry with the heroine in historical romance novels. It drives me bonkers.

Charlotte is so silly. Stop wasting time in your head and get your man, girl!

No, not another one of those he hates me, but we just kissed historical romances. I hate that! I also hate the extra love interests always. It's unnecessary.

The sexual tension is palpable.

Hugh needs to go away because he is getting in the way of my ship.
