This is turning into a horror novel about the dangers of dualistic magical paths. Good heavens! It seems like so much work just to get on an even playing field. Everything seems like action-reaction ad infinitum. One damned thing after another. What horror! How does the Divine Will emerge out of any of this? What’s left of you after you’ve exhausted your efforts trying to “manage” the content of the psyche?

It’s all starting to come off a bit opinionated. I’m still listening, because it’s obvious this practitioner has a good grasp on the inner planes. Though I’m a bit concerned when a practitioner takes themselves and their practice too seriously… As if the things that are happening in our visions are actually real. Yikes…

If I’d known I was going to pick up this book today, I’d have jumped for joy.
It’s been something I’ve yearned for.
Very refreshing.
I’m noticing Josephine McCarthy is one of those authors that (finally) gets me to shut up and listen.

It’s different. It’s authentic. It’s bitchy!I like all those things.
It’s cool to see her share so openly about the magical tradition she was a part of and this system she’s developed for her own personal workings. I don’t necessarily jive with a lot of it but it is certainly giving me ideas and clues about how I can expand and enliven my own practice. Which is exactly what I was looking for in this book.
