this is not a love story!!

it's hard to gather my thoughts on this book, i'm suprised i didn't attempt it earlier. all i know is that cathy and heathcliff should have realised their feelings for eachother sooner, from reading about their love i know it is all consuming, and clearly trumps the love that cathy and edgar share. although, the love they have for eachother is deeply toxic, so would i like to experience their love? no.

I'm really enjoying 'Wuthering Heights,' more than I have any other Victorian novel, which is super surprising! I was hesitant to pick this one up as I didn't LOVE 'Jane Eyre,' but no, I am racing through it. I think perhaps it's the fact that the novel is 3rd person, not first. I know that this is a cringy term but there is so much angst between Heathcliff and Cathy, but they are both horrible for eachother.
