Okay, it's completely unrealistic for Judge to go from being kind & loving to a complete asshole just because of a phone call his father is in the hospital. This scene could have been written better. Instead of blaming Austin for them being holed up in the hotel room in the first place, his father being on his death bed should have reminded him why he was so scared to open up to Austin in the first place, which was

due to his past lover dying on him which has been hinted to a few times. This is why he never kisses his hookups. That should be the reason why his walls went back up, not because Austin got hurt causing them to be in the hotel room, then calling the whole thing "Austin's immature bullshit," and that he did things alone. I feel the author missed the mark here. Big time.
