It’s getting a bit more autobiographical!!! Very interesting. Enjoying the inner dialogue the author is having with himself in this part of the book, and i would say it’s fairly convincing and mirrors the attitude and ideas of the general public. Also think I’m gonna have to buy this book as a gift for my dad lol.

So far interesting but I am hopeful the author will mention more about the role of low income (idk the best word to describe) countries, because so far the lens has been very “first world/western” focused with regard to personal choices, and imo not taking into account the people in impoverished countries who are forced by circumstance to make “bad” environmental choices.

“…it can be dangerous to feel better when things are not getting better” okayyyy had to update again at that line because definitely encompasses the frustration of people only making change or protesting for change when there’s someone they don’t like in office.

Interesting so far… definitely feeling called out but in a very nuanced and imo (so far at least) effective way, curious to see where the author goes with some of the analogies he’s drawing.
